Barbara Camilla Tucholski
Escape - Journey - Desire - January 18 until February 15, 2020

opening: Saturday, January 18th., 4-7 p.m.

The year in which Gallery Werner Klein celebrates its 20th anniversary opens with an exhibition of drawings and paintings by Barbara Camilla Tucholski.

For some, the journey of life is interrupted and shaped by an unexpected escape. This is also the case with Barbara Camilla Tucholski as her parents fleeing the GDR from one day to the next in 1953 with the six-year-old and her little brother. They leave behind the house, the dog and the dandelions in the garden.
From then on her life was marked by journeys and the longing to arrive in a permanent place.
